By creating an account or using Charge Nomad, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What Charge Nomad is

Charge Nomad is a planning tool for EV owners: charger maps, trip planning with charging stops, range estimates, and cost comparisons. Charger locations, connector types, pricing, and availability come from Open Charge Map, OpenStreetMap, and submissions from other users, and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.

Licence to use the app

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Charge Nomad on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the app, except where applicable law gives you the right to do so despite this restriction.

Ownership

The Charge Nomad app, its name, logo, design, and underlying code are owned by EV by Gen Z (or its licensors) and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of the app or its branding to you. Charger, routing, and mapping data displayed in the app is sourced from Open Charge Map, OpenStreetMap contributors, Apple Maps, and other third parties, and remains subject to those providers' own licences.

Please read this part carefully: range, charging time, and trip estimates shown in the app are approximations based on general assumptions about your vehicle and driving conditions. They are not a guarantee. Always keep a safety margin and independently verify charger availability before relying on a plan for a trip, especially a long one.

No warranty

Charge Nomad is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information it shows (including charger data and range/time estimates) is accurate or current.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Charge Nomad and EV by Gen Z aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app, including running out of charge, delays, missed connections, or reliance on inaccurate charger or route information. Nothing in these terms excludes any consumer guarantee that can't be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Community submissions

If you add a charger, note, or rating, you confirm it's accurate to the best of your knowledge and you have the right to submit it. Submissions are reviewed before appearing publicly (except ratings) and may be edited, rejected, or removed at our discretion, without notice. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute that content within the app for as long as it remains part of the shared community map.

Reporting content or requesting removal

If you believe a community submission is inaccurate, infringes your rights, or shouldn't be on the map, email info@evbygenz.com with details (what the submission says, where it appears, and why it should be reviewed). We'll review and respond within a reasonable time, and may remove or edit the content at our discretion.

Acceptable use

Don't use Charge Nomad to submit false, misleading, abusive, or spam content, impersonate someone else, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the app, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access for any account that misuses the app, at our discretion.

Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide and for keeping access to your device secure. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Privacy → Delete Account.

Age restriction

Charge Nomad isn't directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and if you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use the app.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless EV by Gen Z, Charge Nomad, and their operators from any claims, losses, or damages (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your misuse of the app, your breach of these terms, or content you submit that infringes someone else's rights or is unlawful.

Ending these terms

We may suspend or terminate your access to Charge Nomad at any time if you breach these terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. Sections relating to ownership, limitation of liability, and indemnity survive termination.

If part of these terms doesn't hold up

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding use of the app.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect that. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the update.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of Australia. If you're contacting us about a disagreement, please try emailing us first. Most things can be sorted out directly.
